Who it affects

The filing covers State Farm Lloyds' Texas homeowners policies: new policies from Sept. 1, 2026 and renewals from Nov. 1, 2026. TDI describes the 4.0% as the estimated overall impact on existing policyholders and notes that the impact on any policyholder can be higher or lower. TDI's data does not say how many policies the filing covers or which policy forms it includes. State Farm Lloyds' manufactured home policies are filed separately and are not part of this filing.

What the record shows

TDI's public rate filing data lists each filing's company, product name, received date, estimated overall change, SERFF tracking number, effective dates, and review status. It does not include the insurer's stated reasons for the change. The new-policy effective date has passed while TDI still lists the filing as pending; under Texas law an insurer may use a filed rate on and after the date it files it. The full filing is in SERFF Filing Access.

How this compares

All of the earlier filings were closed after review.

TDI counts manufactured home filings separately. State Farm Lloyds' most recent ones were a 19.1% increase received July 18, 2025 and a filing with no overall change received Feb. 6, 2026.

TDI received 207 homeowners-category company filings from Jan. 1 through Oct. 6, 2026. TDI's homeowners category also includes some tenant and condominium filings, and a filing made for several companies appears once per company. Of the 81 with a non-zero overall change, 30 were increases and 51 were decreases. Fourteen of the increases were larger than this filing's 4.0%, 14 were smaller, and one other, Amica Mutual Insurance Company's filing received Sept. 17, 2026, was also 4.0%. The largest was AIG Property Casualty's 15.2%.

As of Oct. 15, 2026, FiledRates has published nine Texas filings; see the Texas page for all of them.

What happens next

Most Texas homeowners insurers file under a file-and-use system: an insurer may use a rate on and after the date it files it. The commissioner must disapprove a filed rate that does not comply with the law by the earlier of its effective date or the 30th day after filing, and can extend that period once. A rate already in effect can be disapproved only after a hearing. TDI lists this filing as still under review; FiledRates will update this page when its status changes. More on the process is on our Texas page.
