Privacy policy

This policy explains what information FiledRates collects and how it is used. FiledRates is a static website: it has no user accounts, no comment system, and no forms.

Information collected when you visit

Our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Analytics

FiledRates uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they find the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the referring site, your browser and device type, and your approximate location, which Google derives from your IP address. We use these reports only in aggregate, to decide what to cover and how to improve the site. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors.

Google processes this information under its own policies, described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can block Google Analytics with your browser's cookie settings or with Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Information you send us

If you email the editor, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond and, if you report an error, to check and correct it. We do not sell or share your messages, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Links to other sites

Our reports link to source documents on regulator and insurer websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Advertising

FiledRates does not currently show ads. Before any advertising appears on the site, we will update this policy to describe the advertising partners involved, the cookies they use, and the choices available to you, including consent options where the law requires them.

Children

FiledRates is written for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children.
